Scott Taylor serves as Mellon’s chief investment officer, overseeing the Foundation’s multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio.

Prior to joining Mellon, Scott was a managing director at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), where he oversaw the investment process and monitored the organization’s public market external manager program. He previously served as a senior member of CPPIB’s private investments team, where he focused on private equity fund investments and private equity secondaries.

Scott began his career in mergers and acquisitions at BMO Nesbitt Burns and is a former member of the European Corporate Development team at Level 3 Communications.

He holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
